Production Log Week 9
This week Monique and I had been given our deadline for Wednesday 18th however there is still a small amount of filming that needs to be done and this can be completed along with the finished music video. .The final part of the filming was completed and the final edit for the music video was exported as the final product. The music video was finished by the deadline although some re-shooting took part on the same day. More transitions were added and it was a cross dissolve to show at the end of them music video the artist was still in the same point in life but had just grown older also a honey comb texturing effect was added to rewind time in the music video as if something had occurred in the artist earlier life. This week I had also filmed with Connor in his music video the same time i re-shot parts from mine as the location at school was the same. There was only one minor difference in the music video is that at the end of the music video i am not wearing the blue hoodie I had been wearing throughout the rest of the music video. There was trouble cutting to the beat so Miss Lowndes had spoke to us and helped with this problem however the only other problem was a small lip syncing part where Aaron was not in sync with the song and this was all fixed by the following lesson when the deadline was so then the music video could checked to see if there were any other changes or improvements needed to be made and once all that was sorted Miss Lowndes gave Monique and I the permission to export the end product of the music video.
Production Log Week 4
This week Monique and I have been working on our call sheets and the hazards that will be in the areas in which we chose to film at. Also we made some adjustments to the schedule as the first one was not completed properly. We started filming in the studio for some of the studio shots in the music video which are the choruses, filmed at different angles. on Friday Monique and I have started to film at the underpass. Over the weekend a possible location we probably will start filming will be in a house and at the park for the intro. The studio shots in our music video have been completed however within the up coming week we may re-shoot if there are any problems with the original footage. We plan to get the music video finished by Wednesday 18th February but Sunday 22nd February the latest as we will be filming at all the locations during week as show in the production schedule below along with parts that would need re-shooting.

Production Log week 7
This past week Monique and I have been editing the music video and figuring out which bits need to be re-filmed and changed. We managed to re-shoot the studio scene as it was free at the time needed. we filmed Me rapping into the camera from different angels to get a variety of shots to work and edit with to improve creativity with the music video. On Friday we plan to re-film some of the lip syncing bits at the underpass because the first time the lip syncing was not in time with the actual song. When editing we saw mistakes such as the camera being in the shot when Aaron was rapping in the mirror and combing his hair in a different shot. Monique and I also came up with ideas for live type and we created them however we did not have time to upload them onto final cut express as we had other filming footage to re-shoot and edit during the week. Some of the ideas for the filming had changed as we made some of the walking shots filmed in school because it was easily accessible and goes with the music video.

Production Log Week 6
During this week I have uploaded my footage from the SD card onto the mac and begun editing in final cut express. We have noticed that a few shots had been missing but can easily be replaced as most parts of the footage for each shot was over shot so it could be cut down and used as something else. We plan to re-film some of the lip syncing shots as some of them were not in time with the actual song and to add more effects to them music video. For the following week Monique and I will be working on Live Type for the graphics/typography that will be in the music video. We made the whole music video black and white by desaturating the colour. This week Monique and I spent most of our time on editing the footage and coming up with ideas for the graphics to be made on live type.

production Log Week 5
During this week Monique and I have been filming to complete the shots for our music video following the script as a guide line. All the shots were complete during the week it was all done by Wednesday however we used Friday morning to re-shoot a walking scene in the park and changed a few of the angles and shot types. We filmed at school as well in the studio shown in the image below and this was for the chorus of the song. Also I went to Monique's house to film Connor's music video in the bedroom and downstairs in the sitting room and the following images shown below are from the filming of this week. I helped in Connor's one as I did not want to let him down as I was the main role and there were not many other people who could have made it for when he was available to film.

Location Reccies
Underpass
In our music video we will be filming in an underpass in romford near the market there was also another underpass that i was thinking about using that was in Gants Hill but i decided not use that underpass because it was a bit to far for people in the muic video to travel. The underpass in romford will be filmed at night because it will add a dull and lonely mood to the song, as the underpass has bad lighting, due to the song being slow and not about good things that occurred in the artists life like " begging for money in primary school ", and not being able to find the true meaning of life this is a good location for the music video to be filmed. As the underpass is a public place it is very easy for access which shows that it is practical. The benefits for filming in an underpass is that it is adding the effect to the music video of loneliness and depression, however the drawbacks to filming in the underpass is that different people could walk past the shots which would mean that we would have to film more that 1 time to get the correct shot.
Car Park

In our music video we will be filming in a car park that is next to Romford market as it is close for all of the actors however the other potential car park was the westfields but it had to much lighting so it did not have the effect that i was looking for. This will be filmed at night because the lighting will add the effect of sadness and depression due to the darkness and flickering of the lights, this then adds to the mood of the song as it shows that he has grown up in and is still in a world that he does not like for example when he says in his lyrics "were living in a world that's scandalous", the benefits for using this location is that it is public so we do not need permission to film there also it adds the effect to the music video that me and my partner are looking for, however the downfall is that there could be a lot of cars and then if we have to shoot it again the same cars may not be there.
Park

Church
School

Romford Market

Studio
In our music video we will be filming in a studio because it is in our school and we do not have to pay for one however another potential one is my brothers however he lives in southend and it is a bit far to travel. We have chosen to film here because, this shows that the artist is trying to do something with his life rather than being like everyone else for example "black boys acting like savages" this shot then shows that he does not want to be like the typical black boy he wants to stand out. The benefits of this shot is that it is easily accessible as the studio is in our school and also we just have to ask a teacher for the keys, however a downfall could be that the actor may not be able to film on the day that we need which then means that we would have to film on another day.

Production Log Week 3
This week Monique and I have both individually posted our job roles on our blogs and also the production schedule which will show what days we will be filming and editing and when the re-shoots will be done in case any improvements need to be made. This work we have done fits in with the project as it has left us with some extra days to film and this will ensure all the filming gets done by the deadline date in order to complete it all at the right time. There were no problems face as we both had work to do and have set our own deadline before the normal deadline to ensure everything is done, for the following week we will begin to print out our script and sort out which locations we will be filming at first. I also made a blog post for the Location Reccies which will show and give information of where parts of the music video will be shot. We also handed out sheets to the people who will be featuring in our music video to get permission form then and contact details for days and times of filming. This week we went to the BBC and BBFC studio for a tour and the BBFC spoke about how they chose the age categories for each of the films and also the BBC gave us a tour of what they do and who does the research from in the main building and my overall experience of it was good.

Permission To Film
For the music video that Monique and I will be creating the locations that we will be filming in does not require and permission as they are all free open access to the public to use. We have chosen to film at the park shown at source 1,underpass shown in source 2 ,car park shown in source 3 ,Romford high road shown in source 4,Romford market shown in source 5, alleyway shown in source 6, a studio shown in source 7,Chadwell Heath Academy school source 8 and outside a church source 9. None of these locations are private property that need filming permission. These areas of access need no written permission and no money is needed to be paid to the Havering council to enable us to film it is all free of charge.

Job Roles & Responsibilities
In the group of Monique and I due to my editing skills and camera operating I will be the one to edit and operate the camera in the music video because I know how to use a camera well, my editing skills are to a good level and I think this is why Monique and I chose for me to have this role. I think that being the camera operator is a good role for me as I take charge and become more engaged in the practical side of work and put all my effort into what I can do best to complete it to the best of my ability enabling me to show and produce good quality footage for the given reason. When it comes to editing I do my best to produce the best overall video once the footage has been given to me as I like to think outside the box in being creative and add in extra animations and transitions to make the video look better and I have a good level of experience using Final Cut Express and I Movie. The footage that I gather will be the footage from Monique as she is the director of the music video. The role of Monique will be the director and production manager and this is because she is very good at organize filming sessions that would need to take place. Monique is also responsible and can take charge and handle a lot of responsibilities when given, this is Monique's ,music video we chose so it is good for her to be director as she knows how she would like it to turn out and my editing skills can help with that also form me using the camera to get the correct footage needed to produce the music video. Monique is also the production manager as she is good at planning things and ensuring they attain a high level of standard.

Pitch Reflection
~ Pitch Reflection ~
My audience identified that I chose a good target audience of being black teenagers to young black men, they also agreed on the choice of my location and how the music video will be illustrated and this was shown when Miss Lownes nodded her head in understanding what I was trying to get across. I got feedback that the way I had presented my presentation and overall thoughts and idea's were good but some improvements were on the context on how the music video would relate to my chosen genre of the song to enable a clear idea illustrated in the music video to the audience. The audience also identified the camera techniques and how doable the idea was an it was given to as a strength due to the chosen conventions. The audience identified that strength of my presentation was using 'Final Cut Express' to edit the footage in order to produce a music video and also the camera techniques used such as close ups, establishing shots, mid shots and also being creative through using a green screen to make the idea expand and seem outside the box. Goodwin's theory of 'Star Persona' was shown to be a strength as this would help show the emotions and expressions on the artist face and also 'Amplifying' this would help enhance the mood of the song for the audience to gain a better understanding of it.
The audience that I addressed in my presentation identified that I needed to find a way of how I would make the government a target audience and when I thought about this I could make them a target audience through being creative and recording the police driving and taking pictures of a police station. From the technical aspect I was given the impression that through my camera work I could vary the lighting and shot types to give my music video a more professional look. I used to of Goodwin's Music Theory ideas and these were 'Star Persona' and 'Amplifying' and I chose to use these as I thought they would help represent my music video best however to make my music video better I could have added more of Goodwin's ideas in. The preacticallity of my music video was very simple and I this was identified as an area of improvment to go outside the box and become more creative and thoughtful with the ideas I came up with an expand on them more.
The possible changes I could make to my music video creative wise based on the feeback is expanding my ideas in location and the overall plot of the music video instead of keeping it basic with one element on effect being the green screen. The only thing need to become doable was making sure I make the government stand out more in my music video to directly address them as a target audience and this was decided to take pictures of the police, police cars and political things that my artsit doesn't agree with so the audience also gain an understanding of him. There wasn't any changes about my editing and camera work technically from the audience feedback however if I can think of any changes to make it appeal to the audience more it will be something I would need to change and adjust to. There conventions I chose based on Goodwin's Theory was good as there were no changes that I would have needed to make or adjust according to the audience's feedback. The audience did like my overall idea however the main change I was told to make is to ensure my music video appeals to my target audience through the way I have chosen how I would like it done for the audience.

Production Log Week 2
This week Monique and I had been creating our own parts of the script for our music video and on the 27/01/15 we both completed our sides and put it onto one document on excel and from there discussed and changes that were needed to be made in order to produce a good music video. Once the script had been created I showed Miss Lowndes and she helped me ensure that it was done to a good standard by going through the shots with me and helping me expand of a few ideas such as cross fading between the two artist face to show the artist when they were younger starting life. There were no problems that came up due to the fact that we both finished the music video script around the same time so that the it could be put together quicker so that the length of time we have to film will increase. The image below shows two parts of the shooting script source 1 being the intro and source 2 being the outro/ending the other sources being source 3 and source 4 show a variety of locations throughout the music video. We also added more locations such as alleyways, graffiti art in parks, car parks and a church these new locations are all based in Romford. The colours show the codes for different locations for example light blue meaning underpass and the purple being the studio .the colours help with the organisation of where each other shots will be filmed.

Production log week 1
This week I have sorted out who i'm working with for my music video and that is Monique and we had a Q&A recorded on the idea we chose and why it was that idea and song. The song that Monique and I decided to go for was hers because the ideas spoke about enabled us to further the ideas as we both had an equal amount of input such as making the time speed as the artist is walking down the road to show time passing whilst the artist is still in their own world. We also started some of our scripting for the shots we will be taking and writing down what will happen in each section of the song (the versus, chorus and outro). Mine and Monique's production schedule will work good as the filming dates are around the same time where the hours were flexible after school and the job role changing wasn't a big fuss as she is the director of her own music video so I had no problem with it and this helps fit in with the overall project. Together Monique and I had no problems to overcome. The plans for the following week is for me to complete my 50+ shots on the script needed to be created in order to give Monique and I a guideline for how the music video will be shot and where they will take place and a way of transportation. The image below shows what questions was needed to be answered in mine and Monique's q&a that was recorded and put on to YouTube. The shots were decided by me and Monique as she done the first half of the song aiming for 50+ shots and I had to do the same in order for us to complete the whole music video which will be shot in a variety of locations such as a church in Romford, a church, car park and romford market.

Analysis of the lyrics-
The has explicit language in the song we can see from when he says
Blackaveli on the rise n****s are vex I can see it in your eyes
The lyrics explain the artist ideas on his life so far and what he thinks of the government and he says F**k Tony Blair he's a liar and this fore-shows how he thinks the government is and how he thinks the system is ran by them.
The lyrics explain the artist ideas on his life so far and what he thinks of the government and he says F**k Tony Blair he's a liar and this fore-shows how he thinks the government is and how he thinks the system is ran by them.
Analysis of the music-
The genre of the song is hip hop/rap and this type of music is featured on SBTV and on grime daily as other songs produced by the artist are grime as well as hip hop/ rap.
Tempo of the song-
The tempo of the song is medium paced as the drum beat gives that away when listening to the song.
Communication with the song-
The song is of Black the ripper explaining where he is from and his life. I would visually communicate with the song in seeing Black The Ripper talking about his views on life and the government shown at
I didn't know he could do that
Militant mind state modern day 2pac
Government hate me young black crazy
The artist also says where he came from and where he keeps his weed.
